For David's 26th birthday weekend we had the honor to go to SunValley Idaho with the Zickgraf Family
(thanks again you guys!!!) to stay in their family cabin! To say the least, it was amazing. Who would have thought that it would be
so nice to be un-plugged for the whole weekend? David and I both talked about how nice it was so be away from computers, cell phones, and television while out in a beautiful National Forest. Each morning we woke up to a breath-taking view of the mountains and fresh air. By day we enjoyed games, food, and hiking... and each night
we (well I didn't actually get to go in for obvious reasons... but that does not keep me from putting my feet in) enjoyed an old fashion wood heated hot tub under stars that seemed to go on
FOREVER. It was a reminder that sometimes we all need to slow down our lives and enjoy God's creations. It was nice to have a reminder of what life is
really all about!

As you can see we had the most amazing view to look at
but it was also a plus to enjoy the heat of a fire burning stove, adorable kiddos, hot tubbing, games, hiking and most of all wonderful wonderful friends! David said it was his best birthday yet!
So far we have had a busy summer with lots of traveling, but this was a nice get-a-way that seemed to make our short 7 week break feel a little bit more like "vacation".
So Awesome! Great pictures! I've been way behind on our blog and photos, so hopefully i'll get some up soon! Even tho we got to go back to the cabin the weekend after, it still wasn't enough... missing it! and missing you guys! We'll have to plan something else sometime soon!
ReplyDeleteWe really should!! We would be down in a heartbeat. I bet it was so nice to go back again....it is such a relaxing place! We miss you guys already! Maybe we can squeeze in one more visit with you guys before the crazy semester starts!! :)
