Conference Weekend

It was so wonderful to be able to sit and listen to conference this weekend. President Monson truly is a man of God, and I loved how his personality truly shined many times during the conference! I especially loved the talk by Susan L. Tanner in which she spoke of preparing to parent a girl. It truly gave us some guidelines to go by as our little one grows into womanhood. I loved how she talked about how much a fathers example means to a daughter. She talked about how each father is their daughters hero. This made me think of the wonderful Dad that I have. He always has been my hero, and hearing her talk made me reflect on my memories with my Dad. He would take me fishing, or go running with me and we would talk about life. He helped me become a lady, and always encouraged modesty (even if at times that encouragement was the last thing I wanted). And most of all my father has always loved my mother dearly, and made it known to all of us children that he loved her very much. I am grateful for that!! 
We now have a little one of our own on the way. Lately I have come to realize that we really are having a baby! Time is going by so quickly now since school is back in and at times I wonder if we will ever find time to get things ready for her arrival. Yet, rest assured, I always have David here to remind me that it will be okay...and that we will be ready when she gets here. I get scared and nervous at times but am so grateful to have Dave by my side. When I ask him if he is scared at all he confidently responds, "not at all..." That is such a blessing for any hormonal pregnant woman! Anyways, here are some picture of the progress recently! She is still very healthy and LOVES to move around... I can't wait to see her!
